Yea! Finally got all my brand new Felted Easter Eggs listed in my Etsy shop! There are a ton of new colors & varieties! This year I went with brighter, more candy colors for the eggs & I LOVE how they turned out!
Stop by the shop & pick up your very own set! Easter is on its way!!!
Felted Easter Egg Baby Rattles
YEA SPRING! These cute little felted Easter Eggs are perfect for Easter or any Spring Baby Shower you might be going to. Each is OOAK with fun bright colors and RATTLE with a penny or bell that lives inside!
Felted Easter Egg Baby Rattles
The Eggs are made of 100% wool by a process called wet-felting. This is where wool roving is felted with the use of Hot water, dish soap, & A LOT of rubbing.

They are about the size of large eggs (maybe a little bit bigger). They also come packaged in either a cardboard or styrofoam egg carton (depending on what kind of eggs I’ve bought recently)
I hope everybody had some Fantastic Holidays! I know I had a blast hanging out with my family in Dallas! It was mostly a chill holiday, thankfully not filled with too much hectic running around.
It’s always nice to just visit with the family & almost do the day-to-day thing. Most of the time when I visit we try to cram as much stuff into the few days that I’m there. It can be exhausting!
We did get to do a few fun things! We had real SNOW on Christmas day! It was a beautiful addition to an amazing holiday!
We also went & saw the ICE SHOW at the Gaylord Texan. It’s an annual carved ice show they put on based on the Harbin International Ice and Snow Sculpture Festival in China. I would like to go and see the festival in real-life someday. It’s inspiring & beautiful & as a sculpture, would be amazing to see in person!
So now that I’m unpacked & have sorted through the mail, I guess it’s time to get back to work (and my diet!!) I think it might take a couple of days to get into the swing of things, but I do have a deadline for a sculpture I’ve started, so I can’t be too lazy about it!
I’ll be heading back to Dallas to visit family this weekend & will be on a much-needed VaCa for the next week!
I’ve had a surprisingly busy holiday season! The official count…. 2012 Felted Sushi Ornament Sets Sold: 18
MAN! I’m super tired of making Sushi! I didn’t pre-make any sets because (honestly) I didn’t think I would sell that much & could keep up with the few orders when they came in. But that’s between 50-60 pieces of Sushi in the last month! Next year I’m sure I’ll be ready… and won’t sell that many!!!!
My shop will be going on VACATION MODE as of this morning. I will still be posting to my Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, etc. I’m sure there will be some fun Felted Chicken Head adventures along the way.
I hope everyone has very safe travels & a very Merry Christmas this week!
And you also have me best wishes for a very Happy New Year!
This is a new show that I’ve never been to, but sounds fun! I’m always on the lookout for new craft shows (for possible future selling opportunities) so I’m willing to check ‘em all out! I think this will be a little more “arts & crafts” than would be good for my work, but looking for some great X-Mas presents too!
