YEA! Finally finished & photographed him! I love this little guy, he’s so sweet & ANYBODY can take care of him… Cause he can’t die!!!
The part I love most about this piece is that the “fishbowl” is flat and thin which cuts the Goldfish almost in half so he really POPS out in 3D! Plus he has a few cutout bubbles!
He was created using the technique called needle felting. Needle Felting is the process of sculpting fibers (wool) by using a small barbed needle. Then he was hand-dyed using Kool-Aid! His awesome “fishbowl” was made by casting the water part in tinted clear-casting resin, then it was glued into the wooden base. Some little green felt seaweed was attached to the base, and finally it was covered with aquarium rocks. The Rocks are securely glued onto the base with a clear, glossy painting medium.
